Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do you serve?
We serve families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. If you’re unsure whether we cover your location, contact us — we’re happy to discuss your situation.
What types of care do you offer?
We provide flexible hourly, overnight, and live-in caregiving, along with care management and advocacy. Every care plan is tailored to the client’s specific needs, from companionship and daily routines to memory care, mobility support, and post-surgery recovery.
What is care management, and how is it different from caregiving?
Caregivers provide hands-on daily support. Care management is the coordination layer above that: communicating with doctors, managing medications and appointments, navigating hospital discharges, arranging equipment and transportation, and advocating for the client across every part of the healthcare system. Many of our clients benefit most from the combination of both.
How do you select your caregivers?
All our caregivers are registered Home Care Aides with the State of California and have cleared background checks. Every caregiver is thoroughly vetted and experienced. We also pay our caregivers better than industry averages — which means we attract skilled, committed professionals and our clients see the same familiar faces consistently, rather than a revolving door.
How quickly can care begin?
Often within 1–2 days, and within a week at most. We work around your family’s timeline — including urgent situations like hospital discharges.
What are your costs and insurance policies?
We are private pay, and your initial consultation is free. Many clients use long-term care (LTC) insurance to get reimbursed for our services, and we’re happy to provide the documentation your insurer needs.
See our Costs & Pricing page for typical rates.
When is the right time to start home care?
Earlier than most families think. Starting care before needs become urgent preserves independence, lets your loved one build natural trust with their caregivers, establishes a health baseline so changes get noticed early, and prevents the falls and complications that lead to hospitalizations. It also lifts the coordination burden off family — so you can go back to just being family.
How do I get started?
